Week 1: Getting Started

Working with the Japanese Candy Kits opens several possibilities for your research connection to your maker project.

This week, decide what curriculum content you are going to study related to the candy kits.  Some suggestions:
  • Cooking Chemistry
  • Japanese Culture
  • Math (measuring and balancing contents, symmetry in final product, etc.)
Read the books I have provided from our library to help you focus your research project.  You might also find some useful information on these sites (click on blue hypertext linked title):

Don't forget to update your progress this week.  Make changes to your proposed schedule, if needed.
